iPad in EMBC / emPSN

Linking an iPhone or iPad to your school network in Leicestershire

Go to Settings

Select General

Connect to your WIFI network entering your key

Once connected hit the blue arrow next to the connection

Under HTTP Proxy, select Manual (pic 2 shows the following settings)

~~Under Server enter ‘proxy.embc.uk.com’~~

Update October 2012 -

KCOM / Capita – the proxy server is webshield.embc.uk.com port 80

RM / KCOM – the proxy server is proxy.empsn.ifl.net port 8080

RM (Safetynet) – the proxy server is proxy.rmplc.co.uk port 8080

Leave Authentication set to ‘Off’

Thanks Mike used this to get my iPad online at school, easy to follow and worked perfectly !! Set up once and now it picks up automatically every day
